I think something is wrong with me...

I used to love carrying a different pen every day (see my sig line for my arsenal). Then I got my first Pelikan, an M200. Before it, I easily rotated between my pens. Then I got my 200, and now that is all I want to carry. I have to force myself to choose another pen of the day. I think that Pelikan has set the hook deep. I think the only thing that will cure this problem is an M800,

Feel the same way about my Lamy Safari, would quite happily carry it everyday.
The only way to see if there is pen as good or better is to keep buying new ones :biggrin1:

I honestly do not know how people can carry 3-5 pens at once. I sometimes will get into a "rut" and not change pens out. My usual carry time is one week per pen.

Now that I'm back at work I carry 4 pens in a leather case (which sits in my briefcase).
They rotate in and out, but truth be told, I find myself reaching for a Pelikan 200 more than the others (in this rotation).

+1 I love my safari now I don't switch pens I just switch colours and nib sizes

Now half as wise
I always have 2 and usually 3 in my pocket at all times during the day. I get bored too easily using just one color of ink.

I know how those M200 pens work their way into your favorite daily carry pen! Although my M800 is a great pen, I find it a little bit too large to enjoy that way. I usually carry two pens with different inks but if I only have one it's a Pelikan.

I love my Pelikan M800, especially now that it has a Pendleton Point! My M200 does get it's fair amount of use though now. Like Doug said, the 800 is a heavier pen because the piston parts are not plastic.
Lately I have only been carrying one pen at a time, and it depends on if I have a shirt pocket or not. But I usually have 5 or 6 pens inked at a time so I can choose different pens each day if I want.

This too will pass. I remember when I got my first Parker 51, I thought I would never need another pen the rest of my life. I must have carried that pen for three months. But then I notice my Aurora and then my Skyline and then my M600 and then the Sheaffers.......pretty soon I was carrying a different pen everyday. Now I try to keep all my pens flushed out and will carry a pen daily until its empty. Then I switch to another pen. It is all good.

That will probably be my downfall. In shaving and pens I am a software guy. Maybe I need more Pelikans to rotate.

It is strange how I want it all the time. I am not sure I could buy another converter pen ever again.

I don't think the weight will be an issue for me. I could split a skull with my Studio- they are hefty. When I am not carrying the 200 I have the Studio- italic nib and BSB.

I'm in a similar situation. I usually carry four pens to work, now down to three, and two of them have been my M400 and M250 ever since I got them. I just can't pull them out of the case. So, I just rotate one in for a difference every now and again.

I love the extra weight of the 800! I tend to like bigger, heavier pens. That is way I thought the old M400 was smaller than the M200 I have now. I could not get comfortable with the 400, maybe I was too new into pens, and didn't give it a chance.
