I keep trying to love my injector (1940s butterscotch bakelite handle) and it keeps giving me scratchy shaves that still hurt like heck when I use aftershave. Sigh. I see no reason not to use my DE, I'm afraid (too bad, as I really like the idea of the injector and I think the blades are easier to take as carry-ons on flights, though I've never pressed that to test).

I got the injector to have a little bit of variety, but I just don't think they are for me. Doubtful that a newer, black handled one is going to be much different. I'm happy with my DE

Have you tried the Ted Pella (Personna made) injector blade? I found that made a big difference as the Schicks to me were not as sharp.
