I Believe: Nancy Boy Signature!

Well, based upon the number of positive comments regarding NB shave cream, I recently bought it. Today, was my very first shave with the stuff. All I can say is WOW! IMHO,when we speak of the concept of slickness and cushioning, Nancy Boy Signature is the benchmark for both. Simply outstanding! Now, if they were to make a lime scented shave cream in the near future, it will be Heaven here on earth.

This is one of the very few creams, including AdP and CF, that I've held onto.
It's top notch.

I picked up the signature scent cream and aftershave gel at the store in San Francisco when I was there a few weeks ago. Outstanding stuff! I have been neglecting my other creams because that is all I have used for shaving since I bought it. Definitely buying this cream again and if you sign up for their newsletter online you get 15% off purchases. Stop by the store in San Francisco if ever there. The gentleman working there was very friendly and knew all about B&B. He even let me use the restroom. Most stores are a holes about letting y

My favorite cream to date. When I use my other creams I find that I either had a less comfy shave, some irritation, or dry skin. I love this stuff and the ASB is awesome too. The blossomwood and replenishing are nice too, just not scents I want to own.

The jury is still out for me on NB. I've used the Signature maybe 3 times and Blossomwood and Replenishing once each. I seem to have to use twice as much product compared to comparably priced creams (eShave, C&E, TOBS, T&H) for no noticeable improvement in lather quality. The scents seem quite mild compared to the competition as well.
I'm only a few months in to DE shaving though - maybe a bit more lathering experience and a few more uses will convince me otherwise.

I have the Signature Cream and it is one of my top performing creams. Nice scent too. I think the brand name hinders to some degree (I bought one anyway) wider acceptance and popularity of their shaving products.

I did my cold water shave with Nancy Boy Signiture cream this morning. Great product and it really doesn't take much to get a face full of slick rich lather.

The Colonel was up in the rotation and it was just a swipe across the top of the cream with the tips of the brush - then face lathering. I was shave ready in less than three minutes.

I have a travel tub of Blossomwood. While the performance is there, I am not jazzed over the scent.

Agreed. If they dropped blossomwood and went with a citrus based cream it would be awesome.

+1 on the Blossomwood. Great performer but nein danke on the scent. Today, I wiped out my tub of NB Signature and I'm one shave away from wiping out the Replenishing. The traveler's are long gone for both. So, I re-upped my Nancy Boy creams (Signature & Replenishing). Permanent creams in my rotation. Dang, they are good. I actually think I put NB above TOBS & Trumpers and lump NB in with Castle Forbes & AdP (from a luxury perspective, that is. CF & AdP are obviously harder creams and different from a building lather perspective. Here, NB is a different beast, requiring more product, etc.)

When I first started out I bought creams like there was no tomorrow, expensive creams, cheap creams, creams that everyone raved about. None of them seemed to work for me and they either ended up getting sold on or getting chucked in the bin. I only had one cream where the entire tub got used up, NB Replenishing Cream. I also used up a tub of the Signature Cream too. That says it all really.

I've been using this the past few days after an extended break(for no good reason).

Same here. I had been enjoying a couple of other products until I recently went back into a neglected half-empty tub of NB Signature.
I even face lathered with it for the first time ever and I got one the best shaves I can remember. I can't wait to do it again and again.

Gotta finish the tub so I can place another order now.

For me, the mild scent is a real benefit and a top reason to own this product. I wish more soap & cream makers understood that an understated subtle scent is preferable to the heavy hand exercised by some.

A big +1. I am not looking for a whole home air freshener...just a pleasant scent to increase the enjoyment of my 15 minute shave.

It was one of the first creams I purchased. I love this stuff, both the Signature and Replentish. Both are even better to use during the hot summer. I've never had a bad shave with them. I'm also a big fan of their bath soaps. And before everyone thinks there is a celebrity in the house, no, I am not Eric, the owner. :001_cool:
