How NOT to shave (and still be worth every bit)

1) Use a different, worse brush than you usually use (Body Shoppe synthetic)
2) Lather for a very short period of time while your kid plays with the brush
3) Try to shave with a young child continuously talking with you who is also using much of the lather on her face
4) Try to demonstrate what shaving whiskers sounds like by using a blade on your cheek without being able to tell what the angle is
5) Run out of lather early

3 nicks, several scrapes, and general shaving badness.

On the other hand . . .

Quality time with my daughter who gets to play with lather and a DE razor (without the blade) = priceless :thumbup1:

You, sir, have your priorities correctly ordered.
It's the time with your daughter that you will remember and cherish - not the actual shave.

My wife remembers "shaving" with Daddy when she was a tyke. We still have the very razor that she used - a '68 aluminum handled Tech.

I'd say it was well worth it....

Might not be a good idea to make it an every day event though :001_smile

I can't wait to have this bonding experience with my son. I just have to wait quite a few years before that happens though, sinces he's barely 2 months old lol.

Very cute :)

Ive been thinking of getting a cheap plastic DE and leaving the blade out for when my son gets curious. I can make enough lather to share.

I look forward very much to experiences like this. I am a very fond cyclist and saw a man teaching his son to ride the other day and it made me think how I look forward to doing that myself some day.

I have the exact same experiences with my two kids every weekend, including the poor shave. And it is totally worth it every time.
