How much coffee do you drink?

snip<<<I find the taste way to bitter for my tastes

I've heard many say the same, and that's unfortunate. A properly brewed cup of coffee shouldn't be bitter so that's the only thing you remember about it.

To have your first cup of coffee be bitter is akin to your first DE shave being done with a bad blade on it's 7th shave, in a bad razor, with a poorly made lather done with a crappy soap and a useless brush.

I drink a couple large cups in the morning; and sometimes a cup in the afternoon I've never been one to consume mass quantities of coffee; but I like what I do drink to be the best I can make it!

A cup or two a week. Not bad for a tea guy.

I buy fresh roasted beans from Whole Food and grind them as I need them. I buy about an eight of a pound at time.

My biggest complain about coffee is the roast ratings.

Why has light become dark, medium extra dark and dark some sort of charcoal substitute?

Zero. No coffee, no tea, no chocolate, though I'm occasionally known to cheat on the chocolate. Caffeine withdrawal isn't fun.
