On a soap tray.
I've got a little sealed tupperware-type container I keep mine in. I let it dry out while I'm shaving, then seal it up when I'm done.
By the way, Italian Barber has a glycerine lime oil pre-shave soap coming out on the 27th.

Mine sits on-edge on the top ledge of the shower, out of the water. It lasts about 6 months of daily use that way.
