I am thinking New Modern Razor, Brush, Captains Shave Bowl, really don't need, but then it's MAD MONEY we are talking about.

If so, I would buy one rather expensive razor...you know which one.

Otherwise, I'd blow it on vintage Gillette razors from the 'bay, and give em away.

If I could hold some back it's basically just someone giving you $500, no? Knowing me I'd just put it in my bank account and proceed normally.

If they told me I'd *have* to spend it on shaving gear, I'd probably use it to purchase a titanium Muramasa. Even then it wouldn't be enough but it would cover a substantial part of the cost.

If I couldn't get that for whatever reason I'd probably buy up a bunch of unscented soaps I've been wanting to buy, along with the biggest packs I can find of Feather, Timor, and Supermax stainless blades.

If you caught me in a particularly experimental mood I might use it to get a custom Koraat straight razor along with a hemp or linen Tony Miller strop, maybe some stones if there was money left over.

I remember watching that show as a kid. One important thing stressed in the show was that the million dollars was tax free, so you got to keep all the money. That was big Since at the time the tax rate for high income was as high as 90% - hence the reason many loopholes and tax write-offs were created.

Okay, back to the question. First, I will change the question slightly in that all the money must be spent on shave related items. If I got to hold back on shave stuff to spend on other things I would likely spend 90% on the other stuff since I have all the gear I “need”.

So if the question is changed to spending $500 exclusively on shave stuff, then I would buy something I normally could not afford or justify. To that end I might consider something like the Limited Edition Rockwell 6S in 24k gold, or a Rex Konsul plated in Rhodium or Gold - $499 (or some other SS or Titanium high end razor). If there is anything left over from my razor purchase I would buy something like a Maggards Gift certificate to cover future wants and needs

Think I would think long and hard about my purchase.

Then the left over money would be spent on Coffee at Base Commissary.

Coffee would got to place that helps Homeless Veterans get back to living normal life.

Had a friend who use to give out envelopes at Christmas to strangers. Envelope had a Hundred Dollar Bill in them.

He would hand stranger envelope, say Merry Christmas, and disappear.

That way, he’d stop missing out on a great razor, I wouldn’t have to worry about potential nickel allergies of the recipient, and I’d have a bunch of almost-as-good DEs to gift to others.

Well 1/2 Million bucks would provide me many opportunities, to not think so hard every-time I buy something extra. There is new Italian restaurant I would like to try, but it is pricy. So I would be there for dinner, and not look at prices on menu.

Might just take my buddy up on visiting him in Dubai, as I am sure I could find something to drop some money on there. Hear his stories all the time about paradise in the desert.

Then there are places in USA I would like to revisit, and not do Motel 6's, but niceState I drove through, r place to stay & eat. Miami, Kentucky, Tennessee, and most of the fly over State I drove through, but never had time to explore.

The thought thing if you all of a sudden have some big buck it keep news away from friend or relatives who want their share. So you would have to be quiet, not make noise about where you went, where you stay, or how you enjoy your windfall.
