How do you rinse your brush?

After I am done shaving, I hold my brush under running water for about 30 seconds. At first I hold it at a 45 degree angle to the water stream pointing down while rubbing it against my hand. Then I hold it at a 90 degree angle for awhile. Then I hold it right side up under the stream of water.

I’ve always been concerned about soap left behind in the brush because it will become hard and then your brush will not function as it should.
How do you wash your brush after use, if you do wash it?

Sounds like you're doing a thorough job of rinsing lather out of your brush. I do a process similar to yours, making sure to squeeze the knot and ensure no more soap bubbles are left.

If I squeeze the knot and more soap is released, I run the brush under the warm tap until it runs clear. I then strop the brush against a towel to expedite the drying time. The final step is to let it air dry. I put the brush on its base, no special stand needed

Rinse under warm running water, gently squeeze, repeat until water runs clear. I move the brush in all directions under the water. After the final rinse/squeeze, I flick it until no water comes out, then strop on my bath towel in various directions. If I look at the knot and the fibers are bunching up, I'll comb it with my fingers. The whole process takes less than two minutes.

Here is where opinions differ.... hang in a stand knot down or set it on the handle knot up?

I split the difference. I put it knot down in a stand for a day, then on the handle for three days (4 brush rotation).

I hold it under the tap and run my thumb over the knot. Then I squeeze the knot while the water is still running until it's clear (the soap has been rinsed from the knot).

I then turn it over, squeeze out the excess water and run the knot across the towel up/down, side to side and an x pattern.

I rinse my bowl, while I do that I swirl the brush in it as if I was making a little lather until the water is clear. Then I shake out the excess water.
I cleanout my brush and bowl as @Jamolay does. It lets me clean out bowl as well. Once i see clear water, i stop, give the knot a squeeze then give a shake of my brush and stand up in the bowl and i put it all in a box of my shave stuff...

Under warm running water. With a slight lathering motion until the water is clear. Then a light flick into the shower area. At home and at work. Work it’s it less than a foot from the sink. Due to my position at work. I don’t share a head, it’s a sink, shower and commode, roughly bigger than a room closet. But I don’t share anymore. 👍🏼

I do very similar to you except I don’t do the 90 degree. As I hold it upright I occasionally squeeze the bristles until it runs clear.

I use water from the sink. It usually runs clear in seconds, not minutes. Squeeze, shake hard into the shower, brush along a towel a couple of times (probably overkill). By this point, there's so little water left, I don't see any functional benefit to the brush stand. At least one of my brushes looks neat sitting upside down in it, though, so I use it. I call it "art."
