How do you keep shave cream from hardening during the summer?

Okay, so I have a tub of a TOBS and a tube of Proraso that hardened to cheese like consistency. I had to dump the tube of Proraso into a Tupperware to whip it back to normal. (well, it still feels like molten marshmallows instead of cream)

How do I prevent this?

I have not had that problem. Is the stuff getting hot where you store it?

Yeah, it's hitting 95+ in the room where my shaving stuff is stored (hallway infront of the bathroom)

one thing you can try is something that works with cigars and that's to make a cheap humidor out of a piece of tupperware (with a good fitting lid) and an inexpensive hygrometer (used to release moisture into a humidor).

a cigar store would have several inexpensive options. there is one i like, it's a transparent plastic tube filled with an alcohol gel. add water and it will release it slowly over several weeks. you'd simply refill it with water when needed. it should last about a year or more.

i bet the combination of an airtight seal with a bit more moisture will help. i'd also move the tupperware to the coolest place in the house...

+1 on the fridge. I had a tub of Nancy Boy Signature Shave Cream that turned into soup, a couple of hours in the fridge and BLAMMMO! Good as new!
