Helpwith identification

I just got this received this razor inthe mail today. Got it on ebay for $10. The description said it is a Vintage Gillette. The stamp on the under side says made in Germany. It looks like a Merkur 15c to me but it comes apart differently. It is in pretty good shape. It looks to be polished brass and chrome. Any ideas?

If it does not have the Gillette stamp on it, it is not a Gillette. That should give you grounds to demand a reversal of the transaction should you want it. As to the ID, IDK. Germany did a lot of knock-offs for a while, but if there is no maker's mark, I would have no idea how to figure it out. Looks like it needs a good cleaning if you are going to keep/use it.
