Help With Fat Handle Tech / Case

I just picked up this Tech and case this week in an antique shop. My questions are: Is this the right case? Any idea of a date? And, what blades go in the back slot? Buy the way, the case is very nice. Any help is appreciated.

Nice looking razor.

I don't know much about them, so I can't say if that's the correct box or not.

If you look on the underside of the razor there should be a date code, which would be a letter on the left side and a number on the right. If you could post the letter and the number, we can tell you the year and quarter in which the razor was produced.

This case is for 1940 Milord One-Piece Tech Razor, not for a Three-Piece Tech. And it was a pack of five Blue Gillette Blades in the slot.
Very nice case and rare.

So, my guess as to what happened...
Dad buys a cheap Tech razor, uses for a few years. Mom or Little Joe buys a nice new razor for daddy for Christmas. Dad puts old razor in new case and drops it in drawer, and continues to use nice, fancy one-piece.

Years later, case with old tech ends up in antique store separate from proper razor...

:(

Yup. That's the way it normally works. I have found several older model razors in newer model cases.
