I recently corresponded with D.R. Harris after I noticed that the bowls of their lavender soap at Pasteur had labels listing different ingredients than the shave sticks. (Both listed sodium tallowate; in the shave stick it was the second ingredient. The bowl refill ingredients had lanolin, which I didn't want. They replied and informed me that the bowl refills were accidentally mislabeled.) Anyway, I took the opportunity to thank them for continuing to use tallow in their shaving soap and to remind them that there are a lot of us who prefer it. I thought I would share the reply I received this morning:
"We are hoping to continue to provide the shaving soap with the tallow base for as long as we are able to get supplies. We are aware that it is very popular because of the shave it gives. It is always nice to get positive feedback thank you"
