Gold Plated TV Razor?

I picked this up on that big auction site and was surprised that I couldn't find anything about it. It still needs to be cleaned some more. It looks like a gold TV special to me and the date code is right (D1) to be a TV. Any ideas as to what it is? Thanks!

I think I saw that too. The knurling it right for a TV Special as is the date code and the colour does look like gold-plating BUT...

... I suspect that it is the normal nickel plating and the white balance in the pics is out

I've got one just like yours that I picked up a couple years ago at an antique store. It is definitely gold plated, but most of the gold is worn off of the handle. My thread on it can be seen HERE

I agree about the Ebay pics but these pics are mine and the WB is correct. The head and tip are Gold but the handle is pretty worn and look more like a copper color.
