Question for the forum. Which is rarer. A 3rd Gen #22 english aristocrat or a 4th gen #22 aluminum handled aristocrat? I am asking because I have 1 #22 great condition blue box with instructions and blade bank and I am not sure which razor to put with the box? I believe the same box goes with both razors. The 3rd gen is 100% mint and the 4 gen aluminum is 90%.Thank u for the help.

Thank you. I wanted to use the nicer 3rd gen for the box but I thought the aluminum 4 gen may have been the most rare and thus rated the box

Any other view points on rarity of the 4th gen english aluminum aristocrat?
I think the rarity is a little overstated. A lot get sold on eBay without the weight getting mentioned. unless you’re trying to have a complete Coronation set most users will avoid the lighter razor for the brass. Having one I’d gladly trade it for a brass version but I don’t think anyone is interested.

This particular aluminum version was a suprise as it wasn't listed with a weight. So I think your view point is definitely valid. In use I too prefer the heavier brass myself. Without knowing I was just not sure of ones rarity over another. The english varieties seem to get confusing with boxes and sets etc etc. Thank you for your point of view
