GF Trumper's Coconut oil cream

Received a plastic tub of GF Trumper's coconut oil shave cream, which to my mind smells like old-time butter cake icing........

A small bit in the lid of the tub lathered very nicely with my Simpson's Polo brush. Worked it on my face, shaved with a JE Chatsworth loaded with a new Persona Red.

This is a very pleasant shave cream; the scent is mild and sweet, it provided a dense creamy foam on the face, and left my face feeling smooth.

A very nice shave cream as far as creams go.......

Worth a try if you're interested,

Best,

Chris

One of the best creams or soaps in production. The only problem with buying it so early is a lot of other products may now disappoint.

"Pleasant cream" just about sums it up for me. I expected to love it, but only like it. I'm a big fan of Geo. Trumper creams - my all time favorite creams are their Limes, Almond and GFT creams. I expected the Coconut to be uber-lubricating and cushioning. Truth be told, I find the Almond cream slightly better in those departments. The scent of the Coconut is OK as well - a very natural coconut scent - not overpowering but subtle. If I were grading it, I'd give it a B or B minus, while my other Trumpers creams are solid "A students."

Besides the samplers this is the only GFT cream I have purchased. And over time sort of decided I like soaps better. But got this back out last week and instead of fact lathering, just put a small bit on the brush and used a large mug to produce cream like you see in some of the pictures on this forum. in a word -- great. But as some one said, so many soaps and creams out there, and you just have to try them to find your favorite.

Excellent but not for the smell so much. Builds lather great. I use it in the winter, but found myself going back a few weeks ago after a rotation through by CF Limes and Col Conk Lime. I'm still exploring.

I especially like to lather up with Trumper's coconut soap, then open the breach of the brush and drop a wee dollop of the coconut cream into the breach, and continue to lather everything into a pseudo-method shave madness of soap and cream on the face. This is a very luxurious shave, best done with my Kent BK 12.

I do find the scent to be more butter icing than coconut, which isn't my favourite smell first thing in the ayem. That said, this is a very nice product.
