Gauging Interest

I've started turning brushes to a more serious tone and would like to get some feed back in two tone or multiple tone brush handles. This one is an African Black Wood handle with a Camphor burl inlay and a polyurethane finish.

Is that just an inaly or is it through and through? I would hate to feel the loss if those pretty oranges, pinks, and reds were to fall out.

That's beautiful. My personal opinion of wood handles has always been that they lack any "oomph".
A two tone would be one way to change my mind, and perhaps others.
I think that having the second wood come part way up from the bottom so that the two tone is visible if the brush is sitting on it's end would be the ultimate look.
Great work, wish I had the talent.

Its a marriage between an inlay and insert as it goes 1/2" deep and is secured with some slow curing epoxy and sealed in with poly for good measure.

I like it a lot and would love to have a wood handle but since I soak my brush in hot water while showering, I do not think that a wood handle would hold-up very long. Can you see the inlay when the badger hair is inserted?

As much of an overkill as it may sound like, I'm actually working on making a corian insert to to keep the brush handle dry and add to the overall asthetics.

Very nice work. I'm a bit over my cool toys budget right now, but next time I'm shopping I would consider something along those lines.
