A strange model of the Muhle STF --- the Jack Black shave brush

Good afternoon, all.

I thought I'd share a brush I have rarely seen on the forum: the Jack Black shave brush. I picked this one up on the bay a few months ago, brand new in box, and in pretty nice shape. The blue handle with metal base, with Jack Black's signature etched into the bottom of the handle, is very heavy; in fact, I find it just as weighty if not weightier than my taj resin Semogue SOC handle, which users have complimented for its heft. The Jack Black has more of that heft than all of the brushes in my cabinet. If I had a scale, I'd weigh it and provide the exact measurements. If I had the original box with me, I'd share picture of that, and Muhle's statement on the box, too. You'll have to trust me---it is an STF knot. Who knows what year it was made. When I received the box, it appeared unopened, and the see-through plastic front was hazy with dust. I would not even know where to begin with the task of classifying this according to the distinction of STF v1 and v2.

What is most interesting about this brush is that it is a Jack Black-Muhle collab---the box has Muhle's patent on the back, and the knot is clearly an STF knot. Below is a comparison between the Black and my Muhle S-sized STF (19mm). I am uncertain how large the JB knot is, but I would guess it is Muhle's 21mm "M" size (users and brush-makers, such as Rudy, have noted that the difference in size between the 21mm M and 23mm L is quite insignificant). In this photo, the difference between the 19mm S and the mystery sized Jack Black is quite pronounced.

Both are great brushes, as is the Black Fibre Art of Shaving brush I have. In any case, I thought I'd share this strange brush with B&T.

If I could rename this post, it would be: Muhle x Jack Black -- an uncommon version of the Muhle STF

Very interesting as Jack Black is part of Edgewell Personal Care.
Anything interesting about this company?

I know many users enjoy the Jack Black Beard Lube. It would be nice to know when this brush (and matching DE razor, which I do not possess) came out. My guess is sometime around 2015, but that is a blind guess.
