Under the theory that stickies can get overlooked, I am starting a new thread for this: Here is the current list for receiving the frag train. Does it seem up-to-date? Have I missed anyone? Note: rickboone1 had signed up long ago, but somehow never got on the list, and has remained very interested in the frag train, so I thought it was fair to slot him ahead of folks that has gotten on the list just recently!):

Just a quick update. The curse of the frag train continues! (Beware, eventually this curse may start being like the Tut or Hope Diamond curse! No one has died yet, and the curse has been specific to the train itself, but who knows what the future holds!)

It was lost in transit for a bit, and when found its container was quite crushed and it was soaked! But miraculously its contents apparently were unscathered.


So it is repacked and back on the rails.
If anyone on the list has had any changes in address or anything else that needs to be updated, please let me know. (Bythbook has stepped down as AS Steward, so no need to bother him!) You might want to post a note here, too, but I would not reveal personal information you do not want the entire forum to know. Such notes just help me keep track.)

Sorry for the delay! I just did not want the frag train thread to be cluttered with delay notices!

You need 200 posts to qualify to sign up. You are getting there, though! Keep posting and remember me when you hit 200!

I have not received any mailing information nor tracking so I guess that Rick has the Frag Train. Channing had several good questions: What is in it, anything needed, what is the condition of the package, etc. Thanks, Doug

The Frag Train seems to be off the tracks, again, I am sorry to report. If we get it back, we may try to finish out the current "waiting list" or not, but I expect that either before or after it is going to have to come back to the roundhouse for some rethinking as to how we can get this train a running. I am sorry, but the frag train seems cursed!

In any event, no additions to the list to receive the train until we can get things straightened out. I am very sorry!

What is the reason that a person would need 200 posts to participate? I think newbies, myself included would get the biggest benefit from something like this.

It is something of a crude test of whether a particular person has any commitment to B&B or is just passing through. Benefits such as this take quite a bit of effort and we want to award and share with folks we know have an on-going interest in B&B, and, I, suppose, have contributed to the fora by posting. Also, so that this like this do not get sent to someone that is going to put it up on EBay. It is nothing personal against a particular person at all.

Does that help? 200 posts does not take long to get to, and I am sure you have some things to say that would contribute a lot to B&B!

Has the Frag Train turned into a Ghost Train? Hopefully, this long-standing tradition at B&B has not been de-railed permanently.
