scored a nice deal on this one!! but after cleaning it i did notice some of the coating is removed, maybe in the future i will have it sent out for re plating.

this is a slim right? from what i can tell its a 1962 model.

here it is restored as best i could, i did use Brasso because it was all i had, i might take some White Rouge to it if its ok to use? mostly the top plates are what i want to polish up. i took a toothpic and cleaned out the numbers and dots and painted them with ford red touchup i had :001_tt2: it does look nice, i'll have to get some better pictures of it.

Looks like quite a shine!! Brasso is a little harsh, and will take off quite a bit of plating. Once the plating is worn through, all that's left is brass.

White rouge, especially when used with a polishing wheel, is way too hard and will do more harm than good.

Looking at the "before" pictures, it just looked like it needed a thorough cleaning. The price was right, and with a little work you've gotten yourself a great shaver!!

Enjoy!!

yeah, i didn't use much brasso, i used more Scrubbing bubbles before i moved onto brasso, from my understanding the SB ate the paint, but thats not an issue. the plating was already off before i polished it up a little. i really do like it more than my Merkur 32c
