Five Great Shaving Soaps

With the myriad of soaps available, I thought I would make a simple list of five soaps that are highly regarded by members here at B&B. One if not all will be sure to please you.

In no particular order:

1. Penhaligon's English Fern

2. D R Harris Arlington

3. Mitchell's Wool Fat

4. Tabac

5. Pre de Provence

(Obviously, there are many other fine soaps not included on this list such as those from the three T's which I purposely left out but I think most would agree that these five are all superlative soaps.)

I'll second that....they're all excellent!

Yes, all good, but most of the love for the performance of English Fern is for the tallow-based version of the soap, now no longer available.

I have tried all those, except Pre de Provence. All of them are great, but Tabac is my favorite.

Haven't tried Pens or PdP so would like to post a list of 5 I have tried. Again in no order.

1. Arko shave stick

2. L'occitane

3. Art of Shaving

4. Mitchells

5. Tabac

I have others, but these definately rule my rotation.
