I've been straight-shaving since last Monday, and today's the first time I haven't felt the need to bust out the DE to clean it up. I finally got up the courage to try some guillotine strokes and buffing on/below my chin, and it's quite smooth.

It feels great once it comes together. Just do not get overconfident. My worst slash came in the days following my first great straight shave. Right into the area under the chin after banging my elbow on the towel bar next to the sink.

I have the luxury of taking as long as I want to for shaving, as I work second shift. I can take HOURS to shave if I want to...definitely helps the learning curve!
excellent start, you came out of the gates pretty fast. sounds like you are in it for the long run.
