First Slant shave

I know the praise of the Slant has been established but I thought I would spout off as well. Pre shave was a hot shower then used my Vulfix Strand with some Proraso green cream then the slant with the Gillette black ninja. The results were an effortless DFS on the neck and BBS on the face with no blood and irritation. The razor just glided and mowed down a 2 day growth. You almost could not feel the blade. I think I have found a new best friend. I traded an R102 aka white R41 for this razor and I might have gotten the better razor?

Congrats, when it goes right it feels like no blade! I've got a gold one here somewhere, I'll find it for tomorrow's shave.

The slant is a fine razor that has a place in my rotation. I say this after having tried the slant twice in the past, both times using way too much pressure and not getting good results from the slant. This was with 2 different slants, and not liking them and selling them off. Well over 2 years later I started looking at the slant again, but this time doing some good research before purchasing yet another slant. This time I was ready and prepared to use the slant in the proper manner. I was rewarded with a really great shave, and now knowing the right way to use this razor, I'm sold on the slant.

I'm a huge fan of my new slant. I also have the Black Gilletes in it this week, great combo. The feather is up next I believe.

Love my slant! Many say it is aggressive I say its smoother. Sure does a good job chopping Down my tree like whiskers. My beard is so course that I just about have to use a slant.

Contrary to popular belief, the slant is not that aggressive a razor, and it seems to work with pretty much ANY blade. I only had one blade I would never use again with a slant (gilette goal). But you're right... pressure and angle are very important. If anything, it'll remind you to use good technique.

I'm sure compared to your R102 the slant feels like a Tech now

The slicing action of the slant design will bring out a best a blade can offer.

I love it when someone finds their "best combo".....Congrats.
