The next AD in my rotation is brush restoration so here is my initiation into the disorder ward. Please make room in a corner for me.

Inspiration came from the forum here as this build is similar to others here. I rounded off the shoulders a little and opened up the hole to accept a TGN boar knot. The knot is self contained with its own plastic cup so for my first try I did not have to worry about setting the loft.

I did add some weight to give a little heft. I weighed one of my favorite brushes and matched that using birdshot. I then squirted in enough slow setting 2 part epoxy to cover. I used Devcon and just mixed it right in the handle with the shot using a toothpick to stir it all together.

I posted in another thread when I found this grinding bit and it made easy work on the plastic to keep the hole round and tidy. The lip on the knot cup would cover up any wobblies in this instance but it is a good skill to have for the next ones...
I seated the knot with waterproof silicone adhesive last night so with a good cure I will start cleaning and breaking in tonight. I ran the handle through the cycle of sandpapers available at Autozone and final polish was McGuires plastic headlight polish.
Thanks to everyone here for the advice, wisdom and inspiration that is contained in the forum. I also apologize if anyone here has missed out on recent EBay auctions. I've been a little overboard on this recently.
