What's new

First go with my Gillette Tech frankenrazor... Wow!

So, I finally got around to having a shave with the new razor after letting the face hair grow out about 1/8" for a baseline. I know I didn't do the whole routine, but I don't have a soap/brush/mug set yet, so I just used some hand soap in the shower for the time being (sacrilege!)

Well, I started at it and thought for the life of me I wasn't getting the angle right because I couldn't feel anything, but oh boy I was wrong, there wasn't any hair left after only a couple swipes. I'm very not used to that, having started with an electric shaver, then switching straight up to a 5+1 bladed Gillette Fusion Power which I never thought I'd top; but after today, it's gonna be stuck up in the medicine cabinet for a sure long time!

I also must ask, have many of you guys used your Tech for more delicate areas, or should that be reserved for modern razors?

"Delicate" areas are fine for DE, SE, or even straights :)yikes:) . . . regardless of razor choice, one must "pay attention" when in that neighborhood. Remember that blade angle is very important, and that is one area that a modern cartridge razor takes care of for you.
