Finally understanding the Weishi

This is my third go-round with these razors.

The last time was only a month ago, and one member benefitted from my PIF of a gunmetal 9306.

My efforts to get a good shave - scratch that - any shave out of a Weishi were always in vain.
Plus, there are many threads and comments talking about their ineffectiveness.
So...I wrote them off. Twice.

Still, I know that some members are quite satisfied with their Weishis.

A few days ago, I went to eBay and picked up a chrome version this time.
And I must say that the result was a pleasant surprese. Definitely not a BBS, but a DFS
that left me looking presentable all day.

Now I know that it was my inferior technique that got in the way of a positive result in the past.

This one could well be a keeper now, and it may need a gunmetal companion!

me and the weishi simply put do not get along. for me to get even a good dfs with it i have to either make so many passes or use to much pressure that my face looks like something out a horror movie.. is the new one you got a different version?? and do you know what model you had previously?

Yes, it does require some extra work. That's why I would only use it in certain situations - if I need to take it easy, or just for a change of pace.
