Finally had success with my aristocrat!

so I bought an old gillette a month ago to see what all the fuss was about, but I was getting very mild shaves from it. I tried tons a bunch of different razors, but I would always fall back to the merkur 23c with an Astra Superior Platinum. I was ready to sell it.

so today I put a Astra Superior Stainless in the aristocrat...

Man!! so smooth! it even got the problem area behind my jaw! the merkur always always misses that no matter how I angle it.

if the rest of the week goes this well, things will not be looking good for the merkur.

The Astra SS seems to be getting some love. I like the SP, but until a couple weeks ago I hadn't even heard of the SS.

Good to hear some love for this excellent blade. It's my number 1 go-to blade, I much prefer it to the Superior Platinum. Goes great in my 34c and Flare Tip.
