Fell down the steps, forgot how to shave

I just shaved tonight but this time I over prepped in hopes it would be better, nope. I can't figure out why I keep having bad shaves. I fell down the steps on Monday. I picked myself up, didn't get hurt, no one saw it, life moved on. However, since my Monday night shave everything has gone straight to hell. I've been getting razor burn, weepers, close shave on parts, longer on others. I don't know what the hell happened. I didn't hit my head when I fell but for some reason I lost my shave skill. Gimme your thoughts.

Perhaps there's a problem causing both symptoms—loss of motor skill may be responsible for the fall. See your doctor.

I'd give it a few days to see if its anything is still happening. If it doesn't happen anymore I'd write it off as just a fluke thing.

If it continues, then I'd see someone about it. Good luck. :biggrin1:

What caused the fall? Dizzy? Pure bad luck? I'd see a doctor asap...
As someone who has had "a few" concussions" I'd err on the side of caution. esspecialy if you can tie your motor skills (shaving) degradation to that incedent...something happened get checked by a professional.

I made an appointment for Tuesday because i'm also making more errors while typing and had trouble with a screwdriver today. I guess we'll see. Thanks for the input guys.

Do you live alone? Is there a third party that can assess what's going on?

If you discover anything else, I'd get to an ER, if I were you.

That's good. I have had at least 3 concussions that have caused alot of problems with me. I used to have a great memory, now it's frazzled. I used be able to speak very well, now I stumble when I talk. I can often tell when I am not speaking well, when I get that "***?" look on people's faces. Just make sure that there is nothing wrong with you first. Best of luck.

Slow it down. Slow it way down. If everything seems to being going bad, slow your shaving movements down by at least 1/2 the speed. You are out of your shaving rhythm.

please see a licensed physician asap, especially if you are an older man. not trying to get you worried; could be nothing or could be something. better to err on the side of caution (google subdural hematoma).
