So I purchased a AS D1 a few weeks ago on the bst and have not used any of my other razors since. I fell in love with it. Just yesterday, I received a D2 that I purchased here. My thought was that if I loved the D1, the D2 would be even better and my decision would be easy. NOt so fast.
Shaved with the D2 today and I'm not so sure that I like it better than the D1. Shave was not any closer or more comfortable than the D1. I can't explain why, but the D1 just feels like the better razor on my skin and for some odd reason, feels more solidly built. I know that makes no sense, just a subjective feeling.
I'm not going to make a final decision on one shave, but I'm still confused. 1) Is there room in a rotation of razors for the ASD1 and the ASD2? 2) Anyone have both and prefer the D1 over the D2?
