Different [emoji2]. I prefer the feedback of the Shake Sharp, it makes it a lot easier to use. They're pretty close in efficiency, I'll have to do a side by side with the same blade.

And it’s every time I use this slant. I’m surprised I haven’t bought another with my purchasing habits.

May I ask how the Fatip Lo Storto Originale compares with the Blackland Dart?
The Dart has way more blade feel and audible feedback. Efficiency I can't say without a side by side. They're probably close, I have a feeling the Fatip has the edge.

Visiting this site for the first time in a couple years, it's interesting to see that Fatip still has a mixed reputation. I owned two (the first of which came in the blue & white box), and really liked them. I'll be the first to admit, they didn't look "refined," yet solid brass construction, well plated in chrome, and still very reasonably priced. At the time there weren't a lot of options on new razors, so it really stood out.

Ultimately I found I preferred my vintage razors and flipped the Fatip. That said, their slant looks great, I look forward to trying it.

Better than your Shake Sharp?
The young challenger comports itself well. But Shake Sharp still takes it. With the two blades it has a bit of an efficiency advantage which is enhanced by the feedback it gives. It's much harder to do pick-ups to get to BBS with the Fatip because you just don't get that feedback. It's a near silent killer (perhaps even more with the shim?). It's amazingly efficient but does not quite dethrone the Shake Sharp as my favorite. Fresh Tatras. Two stacked blades in the Shake Sharp, one bottom shim in the Fatip.

Fatip Lo Sorto OC
Derby Premium 2 in one, first and last use ever.
Brush Muhle synthetic
Soap RR Aqua
3 pass head and face, face felt a bit rough (burning)
Alum block (dont use often)
Witchhazel medicated
Speick AS
Speick balm.

This was a BAD shave, that blade left me w 6 blood spots..(I have had 2 in 18m before); and this burning sensation

I think it's time for some Aloe Sun Burn gel.....

Last shave I used GSB in an R41 and was perfect.

Won't try these blades again....life is too short.....

Try something like Silver Star, Wizamet, Gillette 7 O'clock Yellow if available. A good mid-sharp blade.
