Do not care for the frequent Skunk smell. To many other products to choose from.
I bought it on a recommendation and never really liked it at all. zero sting and the scent is too strong and stays around too long
Fortunately today there is a wide selection that would have been unimaginable a half century ago.
I agree with the Williams part but that's about it. Maybe the bathroom cleaner smell you were detecting was from that white chunk of non lathering shave soap known as Williams which smells of scrubbing bubbles and Round up weed killer. Seriously though if it doesn't work then move on. I use clubman once a week as I don't even think I could do it every day myself.
Concur with the OP. I keep a bottle of Clubman around for posterity, but move on to (primarily) Fine aftershaves.
