Fa shaving cream - anyone else come across this gem?

I have just come back from holiday in Morocco, bringing with me three tubes of Fa shaving cream, as well as three huge Alum "rocks".

Fa is a Scharzkopf and Henkel (Germany) cream made under licence by Maparco in Morocco. It is also made under licence in India, with different packaging.

It really is a great shaving cream, with a look and smell somewhere between Palmolive and an Arko stick - kind of herbs and toilet block scent, so Arko haters are unlikely to be impressed. Fortunately I love Arko, so this is fine for me. The lather is fantastic - rich and creamy, and leaves my face feeling really soft afterwards. It comes in a silver card box, with writing in Arabic and French on five of the sides, but with "Shaving- cream for a quick, smooth and clean shave" in English on one face.

When I get a few minutes I will put a review up on the reviews page.

I'm not sure how much it cost, as I got it from a "hole in the wall" corner store along with a load of other stuff, but it had to be in the region of 50 pence a tube!

I'm wondering if anyone else has used it, and if it is different from the German or Indian versions?

I was unaware that Fa even made shaving creams. They've always been associated with shower gels, shampoos and deodorants. (Although about a year or so ago I noticed they now made aftershaves too.)

I have only heard of the Indian version, I don't think there is a German version. I would like to find the Moroccan version, but I haven't seen it in The Netherlands (with its large Moroccan community).

Well, Fa is owned by a German company and I thought I'd heard of a German version of the cream, but maybe not.

It seems to me they were a sort of pioneer in the shower gel market. I think I first encountered them in the 80s and they had a variety of shower gels that didn't seem to exist in the American market. Stinky stuff that I don't use, but it was still interesting to me.
