What's new

Ever have bidder's remorse?

I just received a package from eBay that I knew I paid entirely too much money for, but I got a bit caught up in the moment - also, I was waiting for my wife's hair appointment to finish :001_smile.

I had total bidder's remorse all the way up until I unwrapped the package. I ended up with four (4) Henckels 407 5/8 straight razors. Two of which were still in the original onion paper. Below are the pics of the unboxing of a new, old razor. Honestly, I can't wait to shave with it!

I've been unable to find any information on the model 407. If anyone knows anything about this razor, please chime in.

Good Shaving!

Re: bidders remorse
yes I have but it passes and end in the end if it either makes me a profit or makes me happy later on I figger am even.

Buyer's remorse, definitely! Last time was a real cheap razor shipped for $10 which so much hone-wear it was barely recoverable.
However I keep telling myself I can always re-sell it :-D

I don't even want to know how much you paid for 4(!!!) of these beauties!! Just beautiful!

I'm always so worried about finding a blade that isn't wrecked on eBay, that I more or less jumped at them. They should be fun though. Unfortunately, the used ones were clearly machine honed, and they have some heat discoloration. They're shave-ready and have a great edge though, but I don't think they have any resale value, so I'll be using them. The NOS ones are going to make some great gifts.
