Tried again and still no joy. Now clouds have moved in from the west and are covering where it should be. I guess I’m only supposed to enjoy the photos of others.

Don't be discouraged! If you don't try, you'll never see!

Optics matter. I was using 60mm astronomy binoculars and barely saw it.

Dark skies matter even more, rural is better.

I don’t have the optics 7x40 and t don’t have dark skies. According to the Dark Skies map I’d have to drive a couple of hours away.

Looks like they’ve launched another bunch of Starlink satellites. My dark skies app shows a string below the horizon.

A new Starlink chain is up, that means best sightings are in the next few days.

Worth seeing.
