Earliest fatboy?

So the wiki shows 1958 as the start of production for the Gillette 195 (fatboy). Does anyone know which quarter? I picked up a dirt cheap D4 today and I;m wondering what the odds are that it could be first run.

D-3 Executives are pretty common, but I believe we've seen standard D-3 Fatboys before, too. That may have been limited to test markets at that point, though. D-4 appears to have been the beginning of nationwide sales for the standard Fatboy.

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout, Porter! Thanks,

Yes, the D-4 was the national launch...but i believe there may have been earlier regional releases.

Or it can be an early production run as razors were stamped at manufacture and not at sale. If the razor was launched at the 4th quarter it would make sense to have produced stock in the third quarter.
