Dry face

New to DE and enjoy it very much. I'm looking for any suggestions on a good aftershave. I have TABAC and it is good but I need something that will give my face a bit more moisture. I'm looking at Castle of Forbes, Taylor of bond, D.R. Harris, and Pre DE Provence. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been using Mennen Skin Bracer for over 50 years. I use Aramis AS and Balm also, but Skin Bracer is cheap, feels great (Thanks, I needed that.) and has a simple, very clean scent.

If you're looking to moisturize your face......... use some moisturizer. A nice thin facial moisturizing cream with SPF protection can be had cheaply, and it lasts a long time.

I use Skin Bracer, too. My wife's tried getting my to use more expensive stuff, but I keep going back to the Skin Bracer...

Any after shave with alcohol will tend to dry skin. Here's what I do and it works like a charm. Mix your favorite AS with some moisturizer (I recommend Trumper's fragrance-free moisturizer. You can buy it anywhere really, not just WCS) and watch your skin glow . After the initial few seconds of sting, your skin feels extremely moisturized. You can do this with any of your favorite AS and moisturizer.

One a/s thats cheap, and works for me is aqua vela, always leaves my face nice after a shave.

Aqua Velva leaves me with a moisturizing film. I believe it to be glycerine (glycerol). So much so that I dislike it. It leaves me feeling greasy, but very moisturized.

For balms I like The Gentlemen's Refinery and L'Occitane's Cade ASB.

For splash's nothing beats Speick for me so far and it's pretty inexpensive.

This stuff is pretty hard to beat...

Plain old liquid glycerine will do the trick, too. Just a drop or two is all you need.

This can be added to your favorite after shave lotion for a custom combo of your favorite scent plus long lasting moisture.
