No. I don't even wash my face before shaving. The shower takes care of that part.
I guess I would argue that if you washed your face in the shower your answer should be yes, because you would've rinsed before you got out of the shower.

This is what I do, too.

I rinse. I'm not about to ruin a great lather from a $20 shave soap by mixing it with inferior lather from a $2 face soap. In addition I wash my whole face before I shave and don't want soap getting in my eyes.

Since I use a facial scrub, the answer is "yes". If I were using a glycerin soap on my face, I might not.

At first I thought you were asking if we rinsed the soap itself (not from our faces). I'm thinking, "Of course I rinse off the bar of soap. I don't want short and curlys all over it,"

Call me daft, but I don't think I understand the question; is this specifically for shower shavers?

You can wash your face with face soap in the sink and either rinse it off before applying shave soap or leave it on. Simple concept, no?

I don't wash my face in the shower; I wash my face after I shave so my original answer of "no" is correct.

I don't use any soap before my shaving soap/cream. Just flush down my face with plenty of warm or even hot water.

Yes but the alternative isn't practical considering my routine and that I don't wash my face and shave in the same room. Plus it would be weird shaving with soap drying out on my forehead, nose and parts of my cheeks. I generally don't wash the parts of my face that I shave.

I see the purpose of the first wash as a way to dissolve and remove oils, allowing the beard to soak up water. If you don't rinse, you haven't removed the oils!
Sometimes (rarely) I wash my face a second time, and might leave that soap on.

Call me daft too, as I didn't understand the question either

I shower then shave, so I wash my face in the shower and rinse it then.

This is what I though it was asking too.

Before using a bar of soap, I always ask myself...What is the last thing I washed with this bar yesterday?
