Easy rinsing / least residue shave soaps

I head shave in the shower with the Cella 1kg brick and the residue it leaves behind is getting to be too much. My wife and I use the same bar soap but her shower doesn't have the sticky film that mine has and I think Cella is the culprit.

Has anyone else noticed this with some shave soaps? Are there any decent performers out there (from a shave perspective) that rinse away more easily?

I’m a daily head shaver. I know exactly what you mean! I’ve done away with all soaps that left me with annoying residue.
The two soaps that work best for me are MdC and Tabac (new formula with no Tallow)
I’ve attached photos for reference.

I'm so glad I wasn't imagining this! Thanks for the recs. May I ask what soaps didn't make the cut as I start my search? I'd like to cross them off the list!

You’re welcome!
Soaps that left me with that post shave residue feeling:
Saponificio Varesino
Taylor of old Bond Street: tubs of creams such as Peppermint.
Proraso

Rinse? 9 times out of ten I just wipe my face off with a towel and go about my day. In fact, my barber does it that way ten times out of ten. Been doing it that way for years and my face hasn't fallen off yet!

I suspect your issue is with the tallow in the soap. I have the same thing in my sink from face shaving with tallow soaps.

You have some recommendations here that are non-tallow, although you may suffer sticker shock when you compare Martin de Candre with a kilo of Cella.

If you like Cella, I suggest Tcheon Fung Sing Crema Purissima, which is another Italian croap. You can try a small bowl, then, if you like it, get a kilo.
