Love Omega Boar against the Semogue Boar
Sorry Semogue, you're a very sore loose in my den

...Both have their uniqueness and both should be enjoyed!...
Great brush. It will keep that beautiful backbone. GLGranted my badger and synthetic are both cheaper mofels, but I was BLOWN AWAY when I used my Omega 49 Boar for the first time the other day.
I told my wife, who got it for me for Valentine's, "this just feels like what I imagine a brush is supposed to feel like".
I'm pretty sure it's the backbone for me.
Can't wait to see how it changes slightly over the next few months.
Absolutely agree. I love the variety in brushes, including my vie long horse hair.Badgers/boars/synthetics? Blondes, brunettes, redheads?
I've made rich, creamy, wet and dense lather just by rubbing a puck on my stubble and working it in with wet hands. The whole idea of using this or that brush to me is 100% personal idiosyncrasy, and not about convenience or performance.
Lets remember also that 95% of users use a shaving foam/gel.
If I wanted easy I'd stick to my electric razor.
Welcome to the Omega Boar Band of BrothersI now have 5 omega boars.
Very nice. Do you know which Omega model that is?I hear you. My Omega boar changed a lot in its first 6 months. It took 6 solid months of every other day shaving before the tips started turning pure white when soaked.

Those tips are as soft as my Silvertip and synthetic. It does have a little scritch compared to my synthetic and far more backbone than I like now.
