custom brushes

I had previously seen a discussion of a company that created "custom" shave brushes.
You could choose the grade of hair, size of knot, a variety of handles, etc...
The product seemed to be of high quality but not exorbitantly priced.
Does this ring a bell for anyone?
At the time (several years ago) the company enjoyed popularity on B&B.
Thanks,
Curt

Shavemac?

Unfortunately, they started cutting back on custom work.

OUMO.
Similar to the Shavemac's configurator. You can choose the handle, the knot, bulb or fan, the size, the coin at the bottom of the handle, and if you tell them the height of the loft as well, otherwise they would decided it for you. Excellent service. Speedy execution and delivery. Their handles, by the way, are excellent quality and more beautiful than Shavemac or Simpson, at least the ones I have.

+1! Yes indeed! Rudy does excellent work and he is a gentleman!!:thumbup::thumbup:
Could not agree more. With a brush from Rudy you can also receive some guidance based on your needs. One man’s great brush may be another’s average brush because people have different preferences. Rudy can create the handle type you like best with the type of knot you like best. If you aren’t sure, he can help steer you to something you will likely enjoy.

Very custom and very expensive: Varlet

Very custom and "regular" expensive: Milton (Turn n Shave)

Very custom and not very expensive: Rudy Vey

A la carte: Oumo

Lots of others that are much less custom but very high quality you can find through this forum. Declaration Grooming, Wald, Chisel & Hound, Leonidam, etc are all basically selling what they normally make with some minor flexibility to customize.
