Helping a few inanimate objects that are somewhat lonely with potential re-homing.
All items are used, well cared for, and in very good condition.
Brushes have been cleaned with vinegar & water. Luckily, they have been used enough that any badger ‘funk’ has been removed, however, they do still carry a shaving soap smell. Neither shed, and both were lightly used compared to others in my rotation.
All razors have been honed with one layer of tape on the spines, and are no stranger to pasted strops, clean linen and leather. None have chips and actual time on the stones has been limited since many other razors are used as well. Tuff Glide is used when not in use. Hopefully the photos help tell the story.
There may be a water stain on a blade here or there. You may even see a line from where the spine has been taped during honing. I do take care of my tools but generally don’t break out the metal polish to maintain them. I have settled on use of a Charnley Forrest stone for 95% of all touch-up work. If a razor sells and anyone wants a touch-up performed prior to shipping this will be included.
For the curious, I’m holding back another Thater and Kent brush for regular use – The Thater is a \5 and the Kent is an 08. I’m also keeping a few Koraat blades, a Hart, a Sprecher, and an old Bengal. A few are 8\8, and all are 1\4 hollow or near wedge grinds.

I had a SE Cobra Classic back in the day that was nice, and just finished off my last puck of DRH Marlborough soap. Would consider either of these in trade or partial trade situation.
H.L. Thater 4125/4 (Model 4125, Size 4)
Hair type: 3-band Premium Super Badger Knot Diameter: 30mm Loft: 58mm
Black Resin Handle, Made in Germany.
Great brush that holds a lot of water and has a large splay. Yes, it’s fairly big, and when splayed out it can almost cover cheek to ear to jaw… Slight scritch – much better than a ‘Best’ type of knot, and more backbone compared to SilverTips. Had a smaller Thater when I started and have owned one ever since. Soap is cheap and these big ones love to be loaded up so they can do their thing.
$190
Kent BLK12 – Silvertip Badger, Bulb Knot, Hard Carry Case
XL brush, Black resin handle, Handmade in England
Total Height: 122 mm Loft Height: 64 mm Knot Diameter: 31 mm
Ultra soft knot with no scritch. Largest bulb I’ve ever used. Always a pleasure to get this wet and take your time.
$220

Barber notch, Lower Jimps. Cocobolo & resin scales– extra pivot screw & hex tool – Box – Included. Classic style razor with modern hard steel & scales. Great tool for reliable shaves and holds a good edge.
$185
Wacker Best Tradition - 7/8 width – Full hollow grind – Round Point – Silver Steel
Engraved Spine work, Beautiful Goldwash – High polish – Lower Jimps - Box Included. Smooth and easy shaver. Very light use. Nice to have a round point some mornings and not worry about the spike.
$190
Boker 11/16 width – Full hollow grind – Carbon Steel – Spanish Point – Satin Finish
Resin scales with polished metal inlay – No Jimps – Box Included.
Light and sharp, easy to maneuver and control. Another with very light use.
Made in Solingen, Germany
$170
Robert Williams Handmade – Western Kamisori Style– 7/8 Width – ¼ Hollow Grind
Blackened & carved-face blade. Satin & rough surface finish, polished long tang. Hammered cross pattern Jimping. G10 scales, custom pivot nut to easily remove scales. Box Included.
Feels great in the hand, and does require a little extra work due to the short blade length. Steel is hard and custom engraving on razor face was never an issue to keep clean & dry. Very nice custom razor, with or without the scales… I would rate this for intermediate & vetran straight users. With shorter blades it’s quite easy to lift the heel or toe and dig in unintentionally taking a little fun out of the experience.
