College Bowl Games - NOT from The Onion

There are apparently forty-three bowl games total. I thought some had to be satire but they are real:

Gasparilla Bowl

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

Duke's Mayo Bowl (yes, as in mayonnaise)

and my favorite... Pop-Tarts Bowl

I think my favorite was The Poulan Weed Eater Bowl in Shreveport, LA.

Companies pay millions of dollars to have their corporate name attached to a bowl game. I get that. It's good publicity. But some of the names ...

There are only 2-3 that mean anything.

The rest are cash grabs for sponsors with low level teams that don't deserve to be playing for any sort of prize.
