Circle of Night Shavers. Are you one? Why?

Only just discovered this thread. Thanks to @czgunner for bumping it and getting into view.

I'm a night shaver with DE/SE's. Unsure why but I seem to focus better and get a better shave around 9-10pm when I indulge.

Primarily the ability to focus, relax somewhat and not have to rush just improves the inherent superiority of a DE/SE shave for me. Bad shaves and mistakes seem to happen for me in the AM, so it's a head thing maybe.

Luckily my developing technique and good selection of vintages allow me to achieve a consistent BBS shave quality which easily gets me through a 24 hour period, so no worrying about morning shave dramas.

I've almost always been a night shaver for the simple fact that I almost always shower at night. And I shower at night as a holdover from my time fitting pipe: why on Earth would I want to shower in the morning, then go to bed filthy??? Better to shower & shave before bed.

I tend to shave at night. Mostly taking time, clean, cooler and calm environment at home. And work it’s the same, minus kids and wife…

I always shave at night, I sleep better after a shower and shave, and it serves as a reward at the end of the day. Late at night I can take my time and enjoy it.

I shave in the evening because I'm under the gun getting ready for work in the mornings already, and I don't want my shaving to become part of that rush. Things are chill after dinner so that's when I usually head upstairs to shave.

I've no time to devote to shaving in the morning. Shaving to me is relaxing and meditative, not something I want to rush. There's something calming about cleaning up after a day of work.
