Chubby 2 vs Chubby 1

Primarily bowl lather but learning to face lather.

Also lather with both shaving soaps (TF&H soap for now) and other creams like Penhaligon's Opus 1870.

I have a chubby 3 Butterscotch in Manchurian on order but want another one for rotation.

Don't know how to decide between the ch1 and ch2.

Could you guys elaborate on the functionality, cons and limitations of Ch1 and ch2.

Thanks

Well I'm 6 foot tall. I have proportionately sized hands. Not long fingers. chubby fingers actually haha.

I get the reference. Like sycomore vs Encre noire.

I somewhat disagree with my Danish neigbouring friend. I have handles in many different sizes and I like them all. So this big hands/small hands when choosing a brush is of little concern for me. But again that´s just me.
As for the chubbies I don´t think none is really suited for bowl lathering to be honest.

The CH1 is a great little beast. You can control it with ease. The CH2 is more luxurious- lot´s of hair that is almost cusion like on your face. The handle is more comfy as well.
As you already have the mighty big CH3 I would have went for the CH1- just for the reason of having something else sizewise. The CH2 will take 2 days to dry the CH1 will dry in half that time. I like both brushes equally much. Along with the D3 these are on top of my all time favourites when it comes to badgers. I use hard soaps exclusively.

Yeah ideally a ch2 woulda been optimal but since I have a ch3 on the way I thought its (ch2) too similar to the ch3.

At this point it can only be between the ch2 and ch1.

Frankly speaking I wouldn't mind a ch2 and ch3.

Just want to know the difference between the two.

If you only plan to have two badgers go for the CH1. If you choose a CH2 together with the CH3 neither will allow to dry out completely- they will always stay damp which is bad for the brushes in the long run. Like you said yourself (and my opinion in my first reply)- go for the CH1 as the CH2 and CH3 will be similar.
Anyway you are likely to end up with all three eventually.

I find the Chubby one handle uncomfortable which is why I put it up in the BST. It is too small for me. I prefer my Duke 3 and larger Chubby style brushes I have by other makers.

You already have an outstanding brush in the CH3... I wouldn't attempt to find an alternative.

not an alternative. an addition.

I'm thinking of getting another chubby 3.

it has to be a chubby. the retail store only has chubbys.

I'll have a chubby 3 in super and a chubby 3 in Manchurian.

what do you all think
