Can I get a little love?

I am talking about a little love from the Big Blue Nation. 27-1 after a lackluster few years has us Wildcat fans coming out of a major era of depression. Yes, true University of Kentucky fans will not be truly jubilant unless the Cats win the NCAA Championship this year, but the success of this team has got make you happy so far. So lets hear it from the Nation, are you out there?

Note: not being sarcastic-

Do the circumstances surrounding Calipari and his history bother the Wildcat faithful as a whole?

I can't help but feel that he's a little slimy. College basketball in general feels that way to me though. Basketball used to be my favorite sport too... makes me sad

Are we nervous about Coach Cal's past. YEP. Lets see, last 2 programs left in NCAA sanctions. That is the last thing UK needs. However, we will just have to wait and see what happens. How does he regularly get the top recruits in the nation, find out later they have been violators of the rules, and yet the coach comes out unscathed. Yeah, we be nervous.

Cal turned in the violation at UMass-Camby took the money from an agent, pretty sure any coach wouldn't advise this.

Rose was cleared by the NCAA, can't imagine a coach in the country wouldn't have taken this kid, but if he goes to another school you then have the luxury of saying you wouldn't.

It's about time people start looking at what the guy actually does (raise a million for the Haiti relief efforts) than speculate on things they have no knowledge of.

GO BIG BLUE!

Am I mistaken in thinking that the he's had 2 Final Four teams records wiped from the books?

UMass and Memphis, for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

Point being, he's the only coach to have had two Final Four appearances wiped from the records. It's exceedingly hard for me to believe that he's a totally upstanding guy who just happened to be unlucky in his dealings. FWIW, I was asking about UK fans asking if they had a problem with his history. It seems clear that you do not. Thanks :001_smile

UGH... I've read that :001_smile

Here's the deal, he's the unluckiest coach in college basketball history. It's ok to be a homer. I asked a question, you answered. No reason to get upset about it.

Googled:

Calipari scandal - result = 622k+

Calipari unfairly- result = 35K+

poor guy :001_rolle

I'm sure not upset about being 27-1 :thumbup1:
