I found this Solingen Cutlery pocket knife in my dad‘s toolbox when I was cleaning out his garage. I carried it for a few years and then broke the tip of the long blade doing something stupid. It’s been sitting in my toolbox for several years.
I watched a couple YouTubes on how to re-profile the tip. Good thing I did since I would’ve just hacked at it on the cutting edge instead of dressing the false edge. About 10 minutes later on a DMT 325 card.
I left a tiny bit of the break to remind me not to be stupid again. I’m happy with how she cleaned and sharpened up, so back in the pocket she goes.
