My roomie has a bf that is a disposable razor kinda guy. She actually showed MY new EJ DE 89L to him and he seems intrigued.
I'm hoping I can 'lure him over' to our side - I offered him to try my razor out but seeing that it contained 'an actual razor blade' made him a tad nervous.

That disposable looks like the kind I used to buy, the budget pharmacy types that were 10 in a bag for around $5. A DE like an Edwin Jagger (and a bit of skill) should give him a smooth irritation free shave.

Glad to see they are finally making disposables in that awesome industrial grey color. That thing looks absolutely wretched! Definitely get him into DE razors before it's too late.

He claims he can get a month of shaving out of each disposable so it it's hard to make a case for DE shaving purely on merits of it being cheaper as his razor AND blade is currently costing him approx $0.50/month. Even a $25 DE razor is the equivalence of about 4 years of that - and that's not counting the blades.

I'm arguing the shave quality, comfort and 'classic look/feel' to win him over

That disposable looks like a Personna sold at $Tree. They are 10/$1.00.

You have a great eye - I asked and it was Personna! But apparently they go for close to $4 for 10 here.

funny how the 'real blade' can scare some just because it is bigger than the thin strip in the disposable (though 9 times out of 10 it will be sharper also).
