Be aware of fake quality razors and post them here

Not only expensive watches are produced as fakes.
Here is a Rockwell from Pakistan I've seen lately on eBay.

If you find any fake quality brand razor, please post them here.

Did I understand correctly that this is competely fake brand? Or are there real Rockwell razors that this one is trying to mimic?

I think all of the Filarmonica razors are made in Pakistan. I'll dispose of them if you pay me a quarter.

Why would they counterfeit a no-name razor? That's like faking Gold Dollars - the razor's fake to begin with! Ain't that right, Seraphim? :a30:

I think he just wants to make a thread for listing low quality razors. I will add Gold Dollars to the list. I'm pretty sure I have the only five in the world that shave like a million bucks. Gawd I'm lucky! Lol.

The idea of making a cheap fake of a cheap item seems foreign to us, but we are living in a different scale of economy.
There are plenty of people out there who will make copies of dirt cheap items, netting only pennies in the process.
When you live on a few dollars a day, a few pennies is a pretty lucrative prospect.

Fake eggs anyone? The difference between real and fake eggs sold in China is 1/2 cent per egg, but bigger operations can net quite a bit due to mass sales.

I know the Chinese were adding iron filing to chili pepper powder to make package weights with less product, and adding newspaper to their pork dumplings to save on pork. So this doesn't surprise me much.

LMAO, I thought that fake egg thing was a joke until I read the link...wow.

As far as razors go, it doesn't make sense to me - doesn't it take just as much effort to fake a filarmonica or brand that fetches big bucks as it does to fake a cheap-o brand?

I can see it happening, all they'd have to do is make a crappy razor and stick some dovo or TI or whatever decorations on it and that's it. Doesn't need to mimic the shape, but in poor countries like that, they probably love the idea of having a "posh" western product (even if its fake). Just as easy as forging watches. That said, I've never yet seen a fake one.

As it was explained to me, the name of the game is stay under the radar.
Faking a TI for commercial sale takes increased effort, is likely to be discovered much more easily, and larger more successful companies are more likely to put pressure on to have it stopped.

I'm going home to generate some top-notch Escher labels on my computer, stain them with a tea bag, and lacquer them onto a pile of slate hones...

Dovo itself already has the process perfected for making a crappy razor with Dovo labeling....
