Barbon Lovers

Who here loves this cream? I know I do. It's in my top 5 cream/soap list. I love how it smells, how slick it is, how cushiony it is, and how my face feels post shave. It's also very cheap even by American standards. I also love the Barbon AS splash, but that is for a different thread.

So talk about your experiences with it, whether good or bad.

I found it to be a nice cream although the scent was not my favorite. It hasn't been replaced but that is only because I have too much stuff.

I love everything about it. I have the aftershave too which is good but I wish the scent would hang around longer. I am a seasonal scent guy and right now is Barbon season! I know what I'll be using tomorrow.

I like it.... I don't use it enough. Fresh cut grass scent IMO..... it was a freebie thrown in on a Barbiere Di Figaro order.

I used both the Barbon cream and the aftershave for the first time this morning and was impressed. The cream produced a very slick lather....and lots of it. The aftershave has a great scent and big menthol blast.

$10 for both at Shaveabuck.com. You can't beat it for the price. Nice additions to my Den.

I too love Barbon cream. It has become one of my favorites. I will definately keep this in my den.
Another really good cream I got from same vendor is Erasmic. Similar lather, cushion, slickness, if you order the Barbon I would give this one a try.

I liked the Barbon so much that I ordered its brother, Figaro. Same great lather and shave. The scent is lighter and more of a barbershop type. Again, both $9.89+shipping at Shaveabuck.com. I also included some Nuka cream from Bulgaria to try out.: $2.99. Joe included the LEA Aftershave sample with the order.

I really enjoyed barbon every time I shaved with it- seemed to bowl lather better than many of the Creams I like.
The aftershave is pleasant and not overpowering smelling. An underused product that deserves more attention.

Yeah great creams Barbon and Figaro and the Aftershaves as well! It is made here in Budapest and is so cheap and great quality.

Szervusz - hogy vagy! I wonder is there still that nice menthol cream called Derby lux available in Hungary? I ask because I love menthol, and I know that it's from the same company as Barbon.

Derby lux is great stuff, I am sorry I did not include It on the import when I brought in Barbon and Figaro. I like the scent of the Figaro cream and the somewhat neutral scented, witch hazel of the aftershave.

They are really great quality products. Barbon, Figaro and Derby make in Caola factory. Barbon, and Figaro are a traditional shaving accessories in Hungary. The Barbon smell similar to Musgo Real. I really like Barbon and Figaro. When using them, always reminds me of my grandfather.

I just had to bump this thread. Barbon is just too good not to. I pulled it out again today and paired it with the Barbon AS.

This is one of the best creams I have, and one of the least expensive. Try it, you'll like it!

I added a tube of Barbon and Figaro to my last Shave-a-buck order (I really like there La Toja and Lea, Taste of Spain shave sticks) and was pleasantly surprised. They both are great shave creams. The performance is top notch and the scents are both very nice.

Coming up on my fifth year of wet shaving, I've really been enjoying shave creams much more after the past two years of being mostly a soap guy.

Being Hungarian i , for sure used Barbon Derby and Figaro, after having tried many many creams and soaps I have to state that IMHO they are at the top!,,,
In Hungary the price is less than 2$!!!!!
