Barbasol loves DE shaving

I found myself on www.barbasol.com and was greeted with this pic right on the homepage.



A SuperSpeed? I sent them an email suggesting they put one of their own razors up front. And, of course, I also suggested that they ought to make them again.

I think it's more because they don't want to advertise another brands cartridge razor.

I agree though... they should launch a new DE razor, and bring back a cream (not in a can).

It has nothing to do with their love of DE razors, and everything to do with not giving free advertising to one of their big competitors (since both Schick, and Gillette also make canned foams, and gels).

To be more accurate, it is a Red Tip Superspeed, except they have edited the red color out of the photo.

Their razors were more novelties than big time sellers. So, I understand their thinking behind this picture: "Do no harm!"

One of the best canned creams I have ever used was the barbasol sensitive skin formula with dimethicone. Not the new one but the late 90's stuff. It had that Lime smell to it also that I really liked.

My wife worked for Perio Inc in dublin ohio, the company that owns Barbasol. If you ever need to go to HQ for business, I hear the are generous with samples. Though your not really saving all that much money...

I've posted this before. I always wondered why they still used a Gillette (even if it is not easliy identifiable by the layperson) instead of using a vintage Barbasol razor. I emailed the company about this and never got a response.

They do have a cream again. It is their non aerosol formula. I haven't tried it yet. I might here in the future though.

Barbasol makes the best Aftershave in the business as far as I'm concerned (Pacific Rush). It has kept me from spending a lot of money on aftershaves.
