Bad reaction to VDH glycerin

I had a very bad reaction to VDH glycerin which was the first soap I ever used. It must have been a sensitivity to something. I'm not sure if ingredient or fragrance, but the fragrance was overwhelming and floral. I developed a horrible headache and became nauseated over a couple hours after using it. Then my face started to feel swollen, but no real visible change. I did try it again a few days later and experienced the same poor results, then I threw it away.

After a lot of searching online I decided to try an unscented soap with minimal ingredients with high rates of reactions. I have limited funds so I decided that I would only order from one place because of shipping or I would have more variety to report on. I settled on Mike's Natural as I already know that I have no issues with lanolin. I ordered 3 samples, and I love them all. Unscented, lime, and rosemary and mint. All smell great (even the unscented very lightly of lanolin and sweet), perform wonderfully, and leave my face feeling great.

TLDR: If you feel bad/sick after a shave, try changing your soap.

Wow, I have never heard of something happening like this. Did you compare the ingredients to understand what the differences are and hone in on what may have been the primary irritant?

There were too many possible, too many differences. But it wasn't fun. I'm sure also such a reaction is very uncommon.
